Andy Donnelly, AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Andy is a project architect who has been engaged in the profession for more than 25 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture from Lawrence Technological University and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Oklahoma. Working as a registered architect in Hawaii, Michigan, and Tennessee for the last 16 years has given Andy varied and well-rounded experience. Andy’s focus is on commercial and industrial architecture and he specializes in judicial and recreation center design.

In the beginning of a project Andy enjoys engaging the client to convey their thoughts and ideas into an intuitive design solution. The most satisfying part of his work is seeing the built product come to fruition after turning those initial thoughts and ideas into a place where the client can live, work and have an appreciation for daily life. According to Andy attention to the fine details is what makes a project successful, even during the construction phase when working with the contractor. The design and construction process is just like a puzzle, piece by piece it comes together.

Andy won the Top Block Award for masonry design and detailing from the ACIA at the Alabama AIA annual awards ceremony. He was born and raised in Liverpool, England. He enjoys watching Premier league soccer and coaching recreational soccer with his daughter’s team. Recently, he has been spending most of his spare time finishing a home addition of a screened-in Polynesian themed covered porch that his family thoroughly enjoys.
